Wild Paths return to Norwich for a week-long party at multiple venues

Wild Paths is a new kind of festival coming to Norwich in October, taking over some of the city’s best-loved venues and a host of other DIY spaces, including a church and library.

The six-day show aims to showcase the best in live music from indie, hip-hop and neo-soul, to post-punk and new-wave jazz and pair it with themed after-parties. , conferences, supper clubs, art fairs and much more.

With a lineup of aces that includes an eclectic mix of bands, artists, speakers, drag queens and DJs, Wild Paths will be a celebration of music, food, art and culture. …and also the beautiful city of Norwich.

There is so much good music! Key players include Blue Lab Beats, Ross From Friends, Pongo, Jacques Greene, Prima Queen, Panic Shack, Honeyglaze Noya Rao, Home Counties, Quinn Oulton, Opus Kink, SAHRA, Doomcannon and many more.

Elsewhere, highlights will include the return of the late-night jazz jam at St Laurence’s Church (featuring an array of festival artists) and some of the best indie, alt-pop, psych and post-punk bands playing at the above a pizzeria in downtown…the infamous Voodoo Daddy’s!

This year, the Wild Paths team have changed things up and given all attendees the opportunity to create their own unique festival experience by choosing individual shows or a set of events. It’s yours; choose your own shows and go your own way.

Founded by a collective of young creatives, the pioneering new multi-site festival – and the team behind it – has quickly earned a reputation for presenting events that convey a sense of community, innovation and inclusivity.

The Wild Paths philosophy projects itself through its efforts to address climate issues and challenge outdated attitudes about gender and minority group representation.

In 2019, it achieved its goal of eliminating single-use plastic across the entire festival site. In 2022, the team seeks to make Wild Paths carbon neutral by working in collaboration with Ecolibrium and other like-minded climate organizations.

In September 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic, the team managed to safely organize a two-day, socially distanced green festival; Wild fields. The festival, which featured 320 “pod” shops, featured a lineup of 47% female acts, 19% mixed acts and 35% male acts and was championed by the Keychange 50/50 group as ” a beacon of change in an industry that badly needs it”.

“Norwich is an enchanting place… the music emanates from hubs of creativity scattered across the city and on every winding path there is something wild to discover.”

This year’s festival is set to be the most adventurous and impressive to date, featuring exciting new artists and bands from across the UK and beyond. So buy your tickets below before they sell out, don’t tell us we didn’t warn you!
