The Ukrainian delegation participates in the conference of European armies in Germany


From July 6-8, the city of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, hosted the annual European Armies Conference with the participation of US Army Europe and Africa Command.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, the ongoing conference brought together the commanders of ground forces from more than 40 countries. One of the main participants in the conference was a delegation from Ukraine, led by the Acting Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavliuk.

“During his speech at the conference, the head of the Ukrainian delegation informed the participants of the event about the current security situation in the area of ​​military operations, in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine and along the border of State,” the General Staff said. .

Bilateral working meetings were also held with the US Army Chief of Staff, Commander US Army Europe and Africa, Commander Swedish Armed Forces, Acting Chief of Staff of the Canadian Armed Forces and the commander of the US Army’s 18th Airborne Corps in Europe. Issues of coordination of areas of military cooperation and issues of joint training of ground forces units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were discussed.

“During the conference, all participants of the event reaffirmed their overall support for Ukraine, which once again showed the invariability of the course of Ukraine, as well as the entire civilized world “, said the general staff.
