Tai Tuivasa had an altercation with site staff after his fight

Tai Tuivasa told media at his post-fight conference that he was prevented from making extra shoes by site staff.

After a stunning knockout victory over Augusto Sakai, Tai Tuivasa was completely embraced by an elated Las Vegas crowd. A common man, Tuivasa wanted to spend time after his fight signing autographs, taking photos and, like normal people, drinking beers from strangers’ shoes.

However, during his post-fight conference, Tuivasa revealed that he was unable to do so after his fight at UFC 269.

“Look, this is a touchy subject tonight,” Tuivasa began when asked how many shoes he had drunk. “I was pushed out of there pretty quickly and had a little argument with one of the officials.” He was then asked to expand, “I understand he does his job, but he wasn’t a UFC worker or anything, I don’t know what he was. He just pushed me out of the arena. My fans come to see me knocking people out and making fucking shoes and I felt he was pushing me out of there and telling me how to do my job.

Tai Tuivasa will have many more opportunities to fight, knock people out, and drink shoes

With his fourth consecutive victory and a victory over the heavyweight ranked No.11, Tuivasa will inevitably be classified after this fight. With this position, the Aussie fighter will get bigger fights, bigger opportunities and more opportunities to wow the fans. With an already huge fan base, this will likely result in more cheering and more people asking Tuivasa for a beer in their shoes.

The heavyweight division is extremely heavy, so he might not be in contention for the title in 2022, but if he can have another big year like he did in 2021, he will be able to become champion in 2023.
