Matt Kent of Smithers offers his expertise at the Tire Society Conference

AKRON—Matt Kent, technical director of the Smithers Tire and Wheel Testing Center, who has more than two decades of experience testing tires in a range of methods, will speak at 41st Annual Tire Society Conferencescheduled for September 12-13.

Under the theme “New Horizons in Tire Evaluation,” the technical conference is being held in a hybrid format, in-person at the University of Akron Jean Hower Taber Student Union Ballroom and online .

Kent is expected to take part in a panel discussion on “The Future of Tire Testing” and is expected to be joined by industry colleagues from fka GmbH, GCAPS and Calspan.

The panel will be moderated by Heather Bobbit of General Motors. It’s scheduled for September 13 at 12:45 p.m. EST.
