Nam Gowans-Brown and Julie Oliveira were recently appointed directors of association sales, while Joey Mak and Katia Adams were named directors of corporate sales.

Gowans-Brown brings nearly a decade of experience in the hospitality industry and previously worked in the convention office at Marketing Edinburgh. Oliveira has worked in the international hospitality industry for several years and comes from Novotel.

Mak joins Italian and Scottish restaurants Contini where she worked in sales and event planning, while Adams has experience in project management and sales after stints at Event Partners Ireland and King’s College London .

Dallas said, “With a number of conferences over 1,000 delegates this year, we’re going back to pre-pandemic activity, and it’s similar in terms of where we are on finances where we’re anticipating a revenue performance closer to what we reported in 2019.

“This summer we are once again hosting regular events like the Edinburgh International Television Festival and a lineup of Fringe shows through our partnership with The Pleasance – the two festivals are a big part of the heart and soul of the venue, and we look forward to bringing them back into the building.

“Nam, Julie, Joey and Katia are each fantastic additions to our organization and will only strengthen what is already a very successful sales team,” Dallas added.

“They bring their experience and a customer-focused approach from various roles in Europe and around the world.”
