Conference and playoff champions



(Stats Perform) – As expected, Championship week unfolded in FCS college football.

A number of conference titles have been won over the last full weekend of the regular season, including head-to-head matches to determine the champions in the Deep South (Kennesaw State defeated Monmouth 49-17) and the Conference of the South (ETSU edged Mercer 38-35).

Conference Champions

QA7: Sam Houston (10-0, 6-0)

Big Sky: Sacramento State (9-2, 8-0)

Great South: Kennesaw State (10-1, 7-0)

CAA: Villanova (9-2, 7-1) and James Madison (10-1, 7-1) are co-champions

Ivy: Dartmouth (9-1, 6-1) and Princeton (9-1, 6-1) are co-champions

MEAC: State of South Carolina (6-5, 5-0)

Missouri Valley: State of North Dakota (10-1, 7-1)

North-East: Sacred Heart (8-3, 6-1)

Ohio Valley: UT Martin (9-2, 5-1)

Patriot: Sainte-Croix (9-2, 6-0)

Pioneer: Davidson (8-2, 7-1) and San Diego (7-4, 7-1) are co-champions

South: ETSU (10-1, 7-1)

Southland: UIW (9-2, 7-1)

SWAC: Eastern Division Champion Jackson State (10-1, 8-0) or Western Division Champion Prairie View A&M (7-3, 6-1), TBD

All FCS conferences except the Ivy League participate in playoffs. The 24-team national qualifiers are made up of 11 conference champions who have automatic offers and 13 general offer selections, with the pairs due to be announced on Sunday (12:30 p.m. EST, ESPNU). The MEAC and SWAC champions will meet at the Celebration Bowl on December 18 in Atlanta.
